Cannot Connect to Youtube?
Several of our customers are reporting problems with YouTube not working after the unlock - in particular that they get the error message ‘Cannot Connect to Youtube’ whenever they try and access the application. As we’ve never once gotten this error doing the unlock in our stores we were wondering what people were doing differently to get this.We’ve discovered the solution and its straightforward. You’ll need to repeat the unlocking procedure, but make sure the first thing that you do is access YouTube WHILST the original AT&T or O2 sim card is in the phone, i.e. before you put your own sim card in. This will then generate the required certificate files on your iPhone, but it will need the original sim card in the iPhone to do this initially. Once these certificate files are generated that’s it, you’re free to put your other sim card in the iPhone and YouTube will continue to work correctly.Another VERY crucial thing is to ensure that the date and time on your iPhone is correct, otherwise it won’t be able to validate the certificates.
