Scam Websites

We have been alerted by lots of our customers to the following websites:

  • www.appleuk.net (selling ‘unlocked 3G iPhones’ for £200 - you won’t see your money, or an iPhone, again!)

These claim to be able to offer the iPhone 3G unlock and also unlock version 2.0 iPhones - they CANNOT nor will they offer support. They merely provide you with a link to purchase some free software that doesnt work and you will simply been locked out of their phones and you will need to come back and use our software.

Please be aware of these websites and if in doubt, ask us.

If you have been cheated by any website in the past, if you send us your proof of purchase email and a quick note to sales@iphoneunlockuk.com we will give you a half price subscription to our website.

I purchased ( believe I was scamed) a downloadable software that was suppost to unluck my 8G with V2.0 (5A347) from http://www.iphoneunlocking.org.uk and it did not work.I have tried to email and contact them with no luck. Your site states you will give half off if I send proof of purchase. I sent a copy of the email receipt I have and I never heard back from your company. Can your software unlock the above mentioned version and if so how can I take advantage of your half off offer? Thanks- Shawn

  2. Jody Sanders Says:

Hi Shawn - sorry we didn’t get back to you immediately, is it a 2.5G iPhone or a 3G iPhone?

  3. Shawn Says:

Jody, I am assumeing that sinse it is not the new 3.0 it must be the 2.5G The guy I bought them from had version 1.1.4 on them until he took them home the clean all his personal info off before giving them to me and he did a restore through ITunes and now I have really pretty paper weights.

  4. Carl Says:

I was just going to buy the new iPhone 3G from iShopUK when i read this forum. They offered me and imported iPhone for £99.00. I asked how they have this phone available, cos even Apple store dont have it yet, and they said it was some extra mobiles that they bought from US blablabla.
Anyway, seemed to me so cheap and, thanks god, i didnt made any deposits to them.
Anyone knows how realiable they are? I mean, iShop UK?!

Carl - if something is too good to be true, it is. The person behind this website has already just escaped charges regarding doing something with the original iPhones.

  5. Steve Day Says:

I wish I would have checked this site out before falling for the iShop UK scam as I have parted with the best part of 200 quid for SFA!

  6. pennbank Says:

Just upgraded to 2.1 after 1.1.4
Great instructions, had the usual problem of the putting phone into DFU mode, persisted and eventualy got it.
Had a slight problem with iTunes not reconising my iphone after update. But I just clicked the ok tab. Restarted my computer and reconnected iphone and iTunes asked me if I wanted to “Restore from back up” after doing that, the iphone was reconised it again.
