What service do you provide?

We provide Official, Permanent, IMEI-based unlocks that remove any network restrictions your iPhone may have. It allows you to use your handset on any network worldwide. We provide these unlocks for all models of the iPhone on all networks worldwide.

Because these unlocks are official, it means you can safely update the OS on your handset at any time, and sync your device with your computer without fear of the manufacturer removing your unlock (Apple are renowned for doing this!)

It is particularly useful having an unlocked iPhone when you go travelling abroad: just pop a local sim in and pick up emails without incurring an extortionate bill when you get home, as roaming rates are around £3.00 per MB if you keep your original sim in whilst travelling! This means every email is costing you around £1.00 to receive.... with a local sim, data will be free.

A unique feature of our unlocking service also gives you access to features that the networks charge for - tethering for example (being able to use your handset as a modem), and we also back that up with amazing aftersales support from our UK and USA-based call centres. What iPhones can you unlock?

We can unlock any iPhone, from the first generation, the iPhone 3G, 3GS and the latest iPhone 4. Our unique unlock supports ALL bootloaders, basebands, and firmwares.

Is unlocking my handset legal?

An emphatic YES - there is provision for unlocking within the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.

I've tried to unlock my iPhone using a competitor's software or a cheap code and it hasn't worked. Can your team help me?

Yes of course. This is a typical problem, just call our support team and we can talk you through getting your iPhone back to factory condition so that we can unlock it properly.

We aren't the cheapest, we know that, that's because our unlocks are official and actually work, unlike other so-called 'software unlocks'. A lot of websites claim to be able to software unlock the iPhone 4 - this is simply not true, if it were possible, we would sell it. You'll be promised the world and then having bought the software, it will fail to run and the scammer will claim it is your computer which is at fault! Don't waste your money. All they do is sell software that is available for free on the net which doesn't work. See our scam websites section on our blog for details of these charlatans.

And what about software to unlock a 3GS? Yeah it will work - but be warned you will lose GPS and be unable to upgrade or restore your iPhone again. Not good news as Apple update iOS every couple of months!

These cheap services are simply not worth the internet page they are typed on. There's a reason these people don't have phone numbers - they can't deal with every single customer complaining! The golden rule of the internet applies - if you can't get in touch with them by telephone, steer well clear.

Will your service work in my country?

Our solution works in every country on every network - Canada, United States, India, Australia etc.

Can you unlock iPhones which have been barred?

Normally, no, as this is done at the network and handset level.

There is an exception to this rule, however, and we can unlock O2 handsets which have been reported as lost or stolen, and also un-bar them. Please be aware however that if the handset is reported as lost or stolen (you can check this at Checkmend.com, then the likelihood is that it will only work abroad (as the networks will refuse service).

How long does it take after purchase to get my code?

Depends totally on your handset - it varies between instantly and 48 hours depending on the Network it is locked to.

How does the unlock procedure work?

Once you receive your email to confirm that your handset is unlocked, for the iPhone simply connect it to iTunes which will complete the unlock.
